General information Empathy Law ADR Institute training

Modulair Training Program system
–  The content of each module focus for at least 60% on skills
–  Apart from face to face training participants are expected to do self study on literature and to prepare some cases
–  The Professional Mediator Training has 8 module

Professional training is guaranteed according to the qualifications of the trainers:
· 12 participants: Course Director
· 13 participants and more Course Director and senior trainer
· 20 participants and more Course Director, senior trainer and number of assistant trainers for each additional 10 participants
· Guest speakers can be invited to contribute with their specific expertise.

Accredited basic professional courses are organized and operated by Empathy Law ADR Accredited Institute.

Certification The course director will only give a proof of participation if

–  the participant attended the full course
–  the participants meets all the minimal mandatory contributions
–  the participants finalized all productions

The validity of educational courses and tests are set to: unlimited for a completed educational course, five ongoing years for knowledge tests and one years for skills test.

Application requirements for participants: a minimum of a bachelors education or a combination of advanced Academic education and professional experience.

The conflict coach can complete the knowledge test to obtain the qualification as ADR mediator
The ADR mediator can enroll for completion of the full mediator training modules and do a knowledge theoretical exam to obtain the certificate as ADR Associate Mediator®
The ADR (associate) mediator can enroll in a skills assessment to obtain the certificate as ADR Full Certified mediator®
The certification of ADR Full Certified mediator is based on ISO 17024.
The international ADR registry ISO 9001:2008 is certified by Lloyds Register Rotterdam.
The ADR Full Certified Mediator can complete the specialty course “Court Mediator” to get admitted to Courts abroad.

If you like to enroll in the International ADR register for mediators after finishing the training
you enroll in an knowledge theoretical exam and obtain the certificate as ADR Associate Mediator ®
after passing a skills test as well, you are entitled to obtain the certificate as ADR Full Certified mediator ®

Details about ADR mediator certifications
The qualification requirements of the ADR register sets for the ADR Full Certified mediator are significantly higher and more appreciated than those of most other registries.
The associate mediator: All associate mediators have completed an Accredited basic professional educational course. All associate certified mediators have to pass ADR International Register knowledge test.

The Full certified mediators After finishing the ADR International Register accredited basic professional educational course all full certified mediators have to pass both the knowledge & skills tests.

The knowledge test is available as online web based open source examination. Under conditions it is possible to participate in a (personal) live knowledge test with an assessor. The knowledge test is operated by ADR International Register and ADR Accredited Agencies.

The skills test is organized as video assessment or live assessment. Application is only allowed if all knowledge tests are completed and passed. Live assessments offer a wide range of operational options, such as: with or without professional actors, real-time assignment with actual principals.

Indien u zich na afloop van de opleiding als mediator wilt inschrijven in het International ADR-register, dan kunt u na het behalen van de theorietoets zich inschrijven als ADR-Associate Certified Mediator ®
De kwalificatie eisen die het ADR register stelt aan de ADR-Full Certified mediator zijn beduidend hoger dan die van andere registers in Nederland.
Na het behalen van een vaardigheidstoets verwerft u de titel ADR Full Certified mediator ®
De certficering van de ADR Full Certified mediator is gebaseerd op ISO 17024.
Het international ADR register is ISO 9001:2008 gecertificeerd door Lloyds Register Rotterdam.
